Terms and platform boundaries

Last updated May 9, 2026. These launch terms should be reviewed by qualified counsel before broad public promotion.

Acceptance

By creating an account, posting a profile, contacting another user, using search, messaging, reviews, weekly emails, or Spotlight, you agree to use Employee Of The Week only as a connection marketplace.

Connection platform only

Employee Of The Week is only a connection marketplace. It does not employ workers, provide staffing services, assign jobs, handle wages, process payroll, track time, guarantee performance, control how work is performed, provide insurance, decide tax status, decide worker classification, or require exclusivity.

Workers and employers are solely responsible for their own agreements, hiring decisions, pay, taxes, insurance, background checks, licenses, safety rules, compliance duties, and legal obligations.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide a valid email address, keep your password secure, and confirm your email before posting or messaging. Do not create misleading accounts, impersonate others, scrape the service, interfere with the site, or use another person's account.

Profiles, posts, and requests

Workers and employers are responsible for making profile and post information accurate, current, and lawful. Requests, messages, accept/deny actions, and dashboard records are documentation tools and do not by themselves create an employment, contractor, payroll, insurance, or agency relationship with Employee Of The Week.

Prohibited content and conduct

Do not post illegal, discriminatory, harassing, deceptive, unsafe, explicit, spammy, or abusive content. Do not offer work that violates wage, labor, licensing, safety, tax, immigration, privacy, or anti-discrimination laws. Employee Of The Week may remove content, limit access, or close accounts when needed to protect the marketplace.

Reviews

Both sides may rate each other after a documented work relationship has aged at least seven days. Ratings of 2 stars or below require a written review so low ratings have context. Reviews must be based on real experiences and may not be used for threats, retaliation, fraud, spam, or knowingly false claims.

Spotlight

Spotlight is an optional paid visibility subscription that places a profile or post higher in search and weekly match emails. It does not alter ratings, reviews, verification status, search facts, or trust signals. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Cancellations stop future billing according to the Stripe subscription settings available to the account.

Email communications

Account confirmation and security emails are required for the service to function. Weekly match emails are optional and should include an unsubscribe or preference-management link. Users can also request email preference help at info@employeeoftheweek.com.

No guarantees

Employee Of The Week does not guarantee that any worker will receive work, that any employer will find a worker, that search results will be complete, or that another user's identity, qualifications, performance, payment, safety practices, licenses, insurance, or compliance status has been verified.

Reports and moderation

Users can report concerning profiles, messages, requests, or reviews. The platform may investigate reports, preserve records, restrict features, remove content, or suspend accounts at its discretion.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Employee Of The Week is not responsible for disputes, injuries, losses, unpaid wages, taxes, insurance, property damage, background checks, licensing, worker classification, or other issues arising from direct worker/employer relationships.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated as the platform changes. Questions can be sent to info@employeeoftheweek.com.
